We went over to our local park for the Great American BBQ. It was the second year of this festival. There were food and games. Eden was also in a pie eating contest! She started out really strong, then had to slow down! It was fun. Grace enjoyed potato sack races. And we all enjoyed eating slushes! The City showed the movie The Sandlot and then we had a fireworks display. There was a storm brewing all around us and the show was threatened to be cancelled for safety reasons. The wind really started to pick up and there were thunderstorms in the distance. But, just in time for the fireworks to begin, the wind died down and the show was able to go on. It was really nice, if not kinda late, but it was great to be able to get home quickly (within a minute) and have sucha nice festival in our own backyards!
