Salsa Festival 2008

Our little town of Maricopa, AZ has a great festival every year. It is the Salsa Festival! Saturday there were approximately 8000 people at the park, tasting and voting on salsa (YUMMY), enjoying music (The Zephyr's rock) and coming together as a community. (Truly, the Zephyr's do rock and if I ever have a house party and am need of a band...I am calling these folks!) Anyway, there were like 50 different booths set up for salsa tasting and some of them were so good that they could be bottled up and sold at the farmer's market! YUM. And then there are a lot of community and church booths and activities for the children to do. Both my mother and Alex's mother were there with us, as well as Alex's sister and her family from Surprise. It was really just a good day. The next day we drove out to Suprise for a BBQ of carne asada (thanks Joel) and swimming. Such a beautiful day.

Okay, so the pictures are all out of order...but oh well :)
